Time really flies!!! I'm almost halfway done! We are officially 19 weeks pregnant today! Overall, I am feeling really great! The Wednesday before Thanksgiving I felt our baby move for the first time. We were very thankful for that. :) This Wednesday I have another follow up appt. with Dr. Divine. And we are really anxious and excited because next Tuesday, December 14th, we find out what we are having!!! :)

16 Weeks!!!
I had another checkup with Dr. Divine on Wednesday and the baby is doing great. Irby and I heard the baby's heatbeat and it was around 140. We changed the date to December 14th to find out if it's a girl/boy. This week I have been feeling so much better... no nausea :). I also have alot more energy so Irby and I are trying to go walking whenever we can. I bought two new maternity shirts today! :)

14 Weeks= 2nd Trimester!!!
Well today, Halloween officially marks the beginning of our 2nd trimester. Last week I began to feel much better. I am having less nausea which means I am able to actually enjoy food again and Irby's cooking. :)
I am having to wear my belly bands with everything I wear because nothing fits. Also, I am starting to have the pregnancy bump instead of looking like a "beer gut". Irby and I are getting more excited now that we can really see the bump, knowing our baby is inside. :)

12 1/2 Week Dr. Appt
Irby and I were soooo excited about today because we thought the doctor would be able to tell if our baby was a boy or girl. I followed Claire's advice and drank a little caffeine so the baby would wake up and "spread em". Little did I know that I would have to wait an hour to get in... so by the time we got in to the doctor all the caffeine had worn off and I was sleepy... and so was the baby. :(
The baby was in a little crevice all tucked in... it was sooo cute to see! It's long arms and legs were moving around and it had the hiccups! We tried to get it to move and wake up but it was comfortable where it was and not moving... I think the baby is just stubborn and will let us know what it is in it's own time (sounds kinds like it's daddy, uh? haha)
The heart beat was 149 and the baby was completely healthy. :) Looks like we are going to have to wait until December 20th to find out what it is. This is the best picture we got because we were so concentrated on trying to find out if it was a girl or boy. You can see it's long legs and little fingers. :)

11 Weeks
Here is my 11 week bump! I took it Monday... sorry I'm just posting it now. I met my doctor today, Dr. Divine, and I am really excited about her. I also heard the heartbeat for the first time. It was amazing! The heartbeat ranged from 154-160's.

Perfect Doctor's Visit!
Perfect! Irby and I were able to see the baby today! It has grown to 1 inch! You can see in the photos that the baby now has arms and legs... it no longer looks like a bean. The doctor showed us the brain, spinal cord, placenta and umbilical cord. The most amazing thing was seeing the baby move. It wiggled several times! :) Now the heartbeat is 170 beats per minute.

9 Week Bump!
So Irby had to point out that "the bean" is officially past my ribcage. I actually had to undo one of my jean buttons to eat all my food at Olive Garden on Sunday. (I think this is the only time in my life I will be glad when my jeans are getting a little tight). We are excited, especially since we have another ultrasound on Thursday. I will post the pics later Thursday. :)
8 Week Bump!
Sorry I didn't take a picture of week 7. I've been a little under the weather with all-day nausea! :( So here's a picture of the baby bump at week 8!

First Doctor's Appointment!
The appointment went really well. We found out that I might not be as far along as I thought. By measurements, they think that I am around 6 weeks 3 days. Here are a couple pictures along with the heartbeat. Irby thinks that the baby looks like a kidney bean, so I think we are calling it "the bean" for right now. :) The picture on the bottom is the baby and the heart rate.
First Belly Picture!
This one is for you Claire! :) Irby and I took this picture last night thinking that I was 7 weeks. However, after our first doctor's visit they think that I am 6 weeks 3 days today. Soooo... I guess we can call this picture 6 weeks pregnant instead of 7. :)

6 weeks today!
So I have decided to start a blog on our pregnancy because we are wayyyy out here in Lubbock while most of our friends and family are East. This way I can post pictures and keep everyone updated on how baby Baudouin is doing. :) We are soooo excited and thrilled about our upcoming new addition!
